Youth In Transition

Youth in Transition continues to provide service remotely during the closure of the office of the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario due to COVID -19. Youth aged 16-24 who have been in the care of a Children’s Aid Society, as well as youth who are leaving care, are also eligible for these programs.

Please visit our website at ymcaneo.ca, email us at yit@ymcaneo.ca or call our general line at 249-377-5648 and the Youth in Transition Worker will reply within one business day.

We are closely monitoring the COVID 19 public health emergency situation and following recommendations of Sudbury District Health unit during this time.

Youth aged 16-24 who have been in the care of a Children’s Aid Society or are leaving care, will work with the Youth in Transition Worker and develop a plan based on personal goals and needs.

This plan will include:

  • Support with identifying, navigating and accessing services relevant to needs
  • Accessing health services such as a family doctor, housing or counselling support
  • Accessing the educational system
  • Preparation for the workforce
