Job Summary
The Working Foreman leads a Construction Team in the day-to-day onsite tasks. The Working Foreman takes direction from Site Supervisors to complete the necessary tasks and duties for each respective job site assigned to them. The Working Foreman is expected to lead and supervise 1-2 General Labourers and 1 Lead Hand in various construction tasks.

Required Skills
❏ Experience in the field of residential construction (5 years experience required)
❏ Experience as a Lead Hand in residential construction (1-2 years minimum)

Key Duties
Daily
❏ Ability to perform the following tasks independently to a high standard of quality &
efficiency:
–  Demolition & Cleanup
–  Concrete Work
–  Framing
–  Insulation & Drywall
–  Painting & Staining
–  Tile & Flooring
–  Trim & Doors
–  Exterior Finishes (windows, siding, roofing, soffit, fascia, eaves)
–  Landscaping
❏ Maintain ongoing communication with the Site Supervisors to ensure job efficiency
❏ Assist in training of Construction Trainees as needed
❏ Maintain daily, accurate time cards as per daily tasks
❏ Knowledgeable with a full range of materials, methods and tools involved in
construction projects
❏ Complete tasks in a timely manner, above industry standards.
❏ Assist the site supervisor by organizing, directing and supervising employees engaged
in specific functions on construction projects
❏ Knowledge of business and management principles (planning, resources, leadership,
production, costing)
❏ Unlock and lock work sites at the beginning and end of each workday
❏ Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of workplace health and safety and
supervising the safe practices of a small team in accordance with all local health and
safety laws and regulations
❏ Pick-up supplies or materials on account from vendors
❏ Ensure a safe and organized work environment
❏ Communicate effectively with all team members
❏ Comply with all company policies and regulations
❏ Communicate with clients in a polite and courteous manner as necessary or when
asked by Supervisor
❏ Work with trades and subcontractors to accomplish project goals
❏ Working with Trainees
–  Must have patience, good people skills, good motivational skills
–  Ability to teach and communicate effectively to team members with different learning styles and abilities
–  Ability to hold people accountable to their work and goals in a supportive manner

Working Conditions
❏ Work in all weather conditions indoors and outdoors
❏ Lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment over 50lbs
❏ Ability to stand for long periods of time
❏ Monday to Friday

Salary Rate: $24-$30/h
