John Island Camp
Everyone should have the opportunity
to make endless summer camp memories.
Sea Kayakers – Ages 12-14
This 9-day Sea Kayaking trip on the rugged North Channel of Lake Huron is perfect for the younger adventurist and future leadership participants. The first few days of the program are spend in camp, allowing the group to make sure everything is properly planned and ready to go. Focusing on the development of the basics of sea-kayaking, and out-tripping skills, this program will allow participants to expand on their knowledge of sea kayak tripping and living in the outdoors. This program is the perfect introduction to longer tripping programs and acts as a bridge between the tripping programs found in the Youth Camp program and the Explorer Canoe program or Leadership.
