Every summer at the YMCA is packed with new adventures, lasting friendships, and experiences that grow with your child. From science experiments to sports, outdoor exploration to performing arts — there's a camp for every kind of kid.

YMCA Summer Day Camps run all summer long at locations across Northeastern Ontario, giving kids ages 4–13 the chance to try new things, make new friends, and build skills that last well beyond the final week of August. Each week-long session offers a different themed program — so campers can mix and match across the summer, or find their favourite and come back for more.
Programs vary by location, and new camps are added each year. Whether your child is a budding chef, a future athlete, a nature lover, or a performer in the making, there’s a camp week designed just for them.
Registration via the online portal opens on Saturday, March 28th at 10am.

Our caring and experienced staff ensure a safe and supportive environment with a 1:6 supervision ratio. Campers must be 4 years old by the first day and toilet independently. Embark on an exhilarating adventure at our Mountain Biking Camp, nestled within the exceptional trail system of Walden Cross Country. With the perfect blend of exploration and skill development, this week promises an unforgettable experience. Campers will elevate their riding capabilities as they tackle diverse terrains and conquer challenging obstacles. Proficiency in bike riding is a prerequisite, ensuring that every participant is ready for the exciting journey ahead. The camp features invigorating morning instructional sessions led by our trained and expert Walden Mountain Bike Staff, laying the groundwork for the day’s adventures. With two or more daily group rides, campers will traverse scenic landscapes, testing their skills and fostering a love for mountain biking. Join us for a week of pedal-powered excitement, where the trails of Walden Cross Country become the canvas for unforgettable biking adventures!
All campers must come to camp with a working bike and a safe helmet. The bikes are required to have gears that work, and should have two sets of working breaks (front and rear brake), inflated tires, tight spokes and are well-maintained. We also recommended a water bottle to attach to their bikes. We ask that all campers follow this requirement list to ensure the campers’ safety and others around them.

Camper drop-off is at the Y (186 Chippewa Street West) at the end of Fraser St, beside the gymnasium exit doors. You can drop off your camper any time after 7:30am. Our regular daily programming will start at 9:00am

Camper pick-up is between 4:30pm and 6:00pm. To make sure campers get home safely, we require anyone picking up a camper to bring photo ID with the name matching our “authorized to pick up” list.
Will my child swim everyday?
Campers will have the opportunity to swim everyday (unforeseen pool closures can occur throughout the summer that may impact that schedule). The Pool will be closed for all Programming beginning the week of August 10th 2026 and unavailable for the remainder of the summer.
Where is drop off?
Camper drop-off is at the East Ferris Community Centre, 1267 Village Rd, Astorville any time after 7:30am. Programming begins at 9:00 am.

The bus for camp Tillicum leaves right at 9am, so please ensure that your camper is dropped off by 8:50. If your camper misses the bus, you are responsible for getting them to Tillicum.

The bus from Camp Tillicum will arrive at the YMCA by 4:30 pm, camper pick-up is between 4:30pm and 6:00pm. To make sure campers get home safely, we require anyone picking up a camper to bring photo ID with the name matching our “authorized to pick up” list.
If your child is getting picked up at Camp Tillicum they must be picked up by 4pm.
Will my child swim everyday?
While we aim to swim each day, swimming will be dependent on the weather and water quality of Lake Nipissing each day.

Camper drop-off is at 140 Durham Street. You can drop off your camper anytime between 7:30am and 9:00am. Our regular daily programming will start at 9:00am.

Will my child swim everyday?
At our Durham branch day camps, all campers will have the opportunity to swim each day. Please send your camper with a bathing suit, towel and a life jacket if needed. Campers between the ages of 6-9 will have the opportunity to take the swim evaluation to determine swimming abilities and if they require a PFD to be in the pool! Campers over 10 do not need to partake in the swim evaluation unless requested by their guardians. Unforeseen pool closures may occur throughout the summer which can impact our access to the pool.
Where is drop off?
Camper drop-off is right next to the Kivi Park Main Site, 4472 Long Lake Road – in the city building. You can drop off your camper anytime between 7:30am and 9:00am. Our regular daily programming will start at 9:00am.
Where is Crowley Lake drop off?
Camper drop-off is at the Crowley Lake Outpost. Staff will be waiting outside for your camper. You can drop off your camper anytime between 7:30am and 9:00am. Our regular daily programming will start at 9:00am so if you need to drop your camper off late, please give us a call.
Directions to Crowley Lake
To access Crowley Lake, turn on to McFarlane off of Long Lake Road and then take a right onto Raft Lake Road. Follow the road through to Kasten Lake Road (also known as Brodill Lake Rd) until you arrive at the gate for Crowley Lake. It is about an 10-minute drive from Long Lake Road to access point. We ask that if your child is attending camp with a friend, to please car pool as much as possible!

Only the Crowley Lake specific camps have the opportunity to swim daily. All other camps will have a Crowley Lake day during their session and may also take part in water days as part of their regular programs.

Will my child swim everyday?
There is no swimming at this location. Typically the last day of each week is set up to be a water activity day (weather dependent).
A special note for campers interested in Mountain Bike Camp
All campers must come to camp with a working bike and a safe helmet. The bikes are required to have gears that work, should have two sets of working breaks (front and rear brake), inflated tires, tight spokes and well-maintained. We also recommended a water bottle to attach to their bikes. We ask that all campers follow this requirement list to ensure the campers’ safety and others around them.

Swimming may occur once a week depending on availability of the pool and Lifeguards from the community centre. We are lucky to have great outdoor space for our programming and we will spend time outside! Please send your camper with a hat, sunscreen, a water bottle and appropriate clothing for the weather so we can make the most of our safe play area!

Will my child swim everyday?
No, there is no swimming location on site. On Fridays, our campers will walk to the beach as a group. End of the day Pick Up will take place at the beach. Please ensure your camper comes prepared with a bathing suit, towel and life jacket if needed. Campers over the age of 6 will be able to take part in a swimming test to determine swimming abilities.
Please note that the swim test is conducted by municipal lifeguards and we must adhere to their standards.

Absolutely. Many families register for several different themed weeks throughout the summer. You can mix locations and programs — just register for each week separately through the online portal.
Please note any allergies or dietary needs at the time of registration. Camps are nut-aware environments; campers must bring a nut-free lunch each day. For medical needs, contact your local day camp team prior to the start of camp.
We unfortunately cannot provide inclusion staff at this time. Campers requiring extra support are still welcome at our camp locations, however families are required to provide their own support worker for camp. (EA, PSW, Respite Worker, family member over the age of 18, etc.)

Tuck is our camp shop! Tuck order forms will be provided in email or on the first day of camp for campers to purchase tuck items. Items typically range between $1-$10. Tuck items include an assortment of merchandise and food items.
Families requesting YMCA Day Camp registration using childcare subsidy must first complete the Childcare Subsidy Registration Request Form for their district. YMCA staff will review the request and complete the registration if space is available.

Yes. The YMCA is committed to making summer camp accessible to every family. You can apply for financial support on our online portal.
Support will be determined based off of the financial statements provided. A staff member will review your application once complete, and will determine the level of assistance that can be provided. Typically, this amount is up to 50%, however in special circumstances we are able to go above this amount of support.
Once you are approved for financial support, this will automatically apply to all of our core service offerings, including membership, camp and programs.
