For teens looking to develop the skills and experience to be successful as they move into leadership roles at home, school, or the community! The LIT program is designed for teens to develop their leadership skills which will benefit them at home, in the community, at school and with their teams and clubs. Leadership programs will begin with team building and self-discovery exercises to get them working well as a group. Next, groups will work together to set goals and create a project to improve their community, either within the Y or outside of it. With the guidance of YMCA Staff, the LITs will develop and implement their plan. As a necessary component of a team project like this, the group will tackle topics like communication, teamwork, group dynamics, and conflict resolution.
