Youth Programs – North Bay

The YMCA offers various programs to keep youth engaged in a safe space while making new friends, learning new skills and stay active.

Fun for the whole family! Play this fun, fast-paced game and see who has the best skills!

Ready, Set, Go! Active Games gives kids the chance to learn the art of team building and cooperation through a variety of fun and easy-to-learn games. Activities are well structured, positive and Fun, and concentrate on developing ABCs-Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed. Bring a water bottle and a peanut free snack.

  • You and your child will experience nature and seasonal wonders through the wonderful world of nature. Weather permitting each class will include a different outdoor activity involving nature. Bring a hat, water, snack and sunscreen.

Competitive and playful, challenging, and sometimes ridiculous. There is no sport that compares to the unique dynamics of Ultimate Frisbee. The sport of Ultimate helps develop and build on many fundamental physical skills:

  • special awareness
  • balance and proprioception
  • hand-eye coordination
  • multi-sensory processing

Children will have fun with this drop-in program which will focus on fun learning some of the fundamental skills in soccer such as passing, receiving and controlling the ball, shooting and dribbling.
