Fluid Power Designer/Engineer

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Fluid Power Designer/Engineer to join our Client’s team in Sudbury, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for design of electrical control panels, programming and troubleshooting of OEM equipment, controls and automation solutions.
• Responsible for design of schematics, fluid power systems both mobile and fixed plant applications, 3D modeling using inventor software, 2D design using autocad
• Assists with engineering projects, communicating requirements, establishing timelines, and coordinating activities with customer requirements.
• Responsible for fluid power, electrical design and detail, including wiring diagrams, plumbing diagrams and schematics.
• May train plant personnel on proper usage and preventative maintenance of equipment and control systems.
• Creates Bill of Material and specify manufacturer part numbers.
• Performs start up and engineering calculations.
• Develops basic written functional job specifications if not provided by customer.
• Participates in joint sales calls with branch staff or directly at accounts to present our capabilities, identify opportunities, review applications, and demonstrate products.
• Provides commercial and technical sales/application support for inquiries from branch sales staff or customers.
• Covers all aspects of engineering activities that ensure that the business objectives are met. Includes the creation, development, design, and improvement of products/equipment.
• Ensures that processes and environmental conditions comply with local and national regulatory agencies, and the organization’s safety standards.

Requirements:

• Certified Fluid Power Specialist
