Marketing and Communications Intern

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Quality & Corporate Services, the Marketing and Communications Intern will work with our team to assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Agency’s marketing, fundraising, communications, and health promotion activities.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, communications, graphic design, or another related field of study
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creative and hardworking individual
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Knowledge of Social Media Platforms, Hootsuite, Constant Contact, Office 365 (including Visio), Canva, WordPress CMS, Zeffy, and / or Eventbrite
- Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in French is an asset.
o Priority will be given to candidates who are bilingual in French and English as per our French Language Service Plan. Proficiency in both official languages is essential for 40% of the positions.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must
- be a new entrant into the workforce, transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed entering a new field.
- not have previously participated in the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation’s People and Talent Program
- be 18 years of age or older.
- be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Once hired, reside in the Northern Ontario community in which they are employed.
Salary:
- $22.81 hourly, $41,505.72 annually
