Junior IT Technician
The Junior IT Technician would be familiar with and have a basic knowledge of Computer Networking and Desktop Support. They will use their skillset and on the job training to complete configuration requests and handle support tickets. They will complete their tasks in office, remote, or on-site depending on the task requirement and will ensure all ticket metrics are met while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Once more advanced skills are achieved, the Junior IT can qualify to migrate to an Intermediate IT Technician role.
LOCATION: Sudbury, ON
TYPE: Permanent / Full-Time
SALARY RANGE: $18/hour

JOB DUTIES: (Includes but is not limited to)
- Be the first point of contact for clients, create and triage tickets as required
- Troubleshooting a network and desktop environment consisting of various routers, switches, and desktop support of hardware and software
- Support and configuration ticket handling and management
- Communication with customers, and/or internal staff to report or resolve system related or network issues.
- Provide remote support to client base
- Timely escalation of critical issues
- Maintain certification levels determined by manufacturer and business requirements
- Must maintain a reliable vehicle to service Sunwire customers should onsite call be required
- Maintain client account documentation including Visio/ network diagrams
- Be part of an On-Call rotation
QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFICIENCIES:
- Must be fluent written and spoken English and possess customer service experience
- 1-2 years of experience providing end-user support for Microsoft Technologies
- Familiar with the following technologies:
- Microsoft Windows 7/8/10/11
- Microsoft Server
- M365 deployments and management
- Strong documentation skills, excellent verbal and written communication
- Must have the ability to multitask and have strong organization skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to new processes and procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated aptitude for critical thinking and problem-solving
- Adaptability
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Have valid driver’s licence and vehicle
- Must be willing to travel
