Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Reports To: Owner
Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and lead our team. In this role, you will help ensure excellent customer service, high-quality food, and a positive work environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and leading a team in a fast-paced setting.
What You’ll Do
Customer Service & Team Leadership
- Provide friendly, respectful, and professional service to customers and staff
- Ensure employees are presentable and follow uniform guidelines
- Support and coach team members to deliver great customer experiences
- Lead by example and help create a positive workplace
Daily Operations
- Help manage both front and back of house during busy times
- Ensure the restaurant runs smoothly throughout the day
- Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the restaurant
- Make sure opening and closing tasks are completed
Health & Safety
- Follow and enforce food safety and health regulations
- Ensure safe food handling, preparation, and storage
- Promote a safe and clean working environment
Administrative & Financial Tasks
- Help track sales and assist with scheduling and ordering
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Manage inventory and monitor product levels
- Handle cash procedures, including deposits
Hiring & Team Development
- Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling staff
- Support employee development and performance
- Address workplace concerns in a fair and professional manner
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Education
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fast-paced environment (1–3 years preferred)
- Post-secondary education is an asset, but not required
Skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good organization and time management
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or POS systems are an asset)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Availability
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed)
- Able to work at different locations if required
- Must be generally available during operating hours, with daytime availability preferred
Certifications (Preferred or Willing to Obtain)
- Food Safety Certification
- First Aid Certification
- WHMIS Certification
- Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
- Fast-paced restaurant setting
- Exposure to hot and cold conditions
- Moderate noise levels
