Avensa Technologies Inc. is seeking technically skilled and customer-focused individuals to join its team as IT & Technology Field Service Technicians.

This role involves providing on-site technical support and installations for residential and commercial clients throughout Northern Ontario. Successful candidates will have strong troubleshooting abilities, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.

Position Details

  • Flexible work schedule
  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Independent Contractor / Freelance position
  • Regional travel to client sites required
  • Great opportunity for experienced technicians, recent graduates, or individuals looking to build hands-on experience in the technology field

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop computers
  • Troubleshoot networking and internet connectivity issues
  • Perform hardware replacements and operating system installations
  • Install and configure mesh networks and ethernet cabling
  • Complete Starlink installations (roof, wall, and ground mount)
  • Install and configure CCTV and security camera systems
  • Set up smart home devices and automation systems
  • Perform TV wall mounting and cord concealment
  • Assist with commercial audio/visual and conference room technology installations
  • Respond to service calls and complete work orders within established timelines

Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge in computer repair, networking, electronics, telecommunications, or related technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and installation procedures
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively
  • Commitment to meeting service timelines, including a 24–48 hour turnaround on dispatches and service tickets
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable vehicle required for travel to client locations

  • Candidates who enjoy working independently and interacting directly with clients
