YMCA Colouring Contest – Terms and Conditions

1. Contest Overview

The YMCA Colouring Contest (the “Contest”) is open to children ages 6 to 12 and runs from October 22, 2025 to November 18, 2025 (the “Contest Period”). The Contest is hosted by the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario in partnership with Downtown Sudbury (“the Organizer”).

2. Eligibility

  • The Contest is open to all children aged 6 to 12 at the time of entry.

  • Parental or guardian consent is required for all participants. Parents/guardians will receive a ballot to confirm their consent for their child to enter.

  • Employees, volunteers, and immediate family members of the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario are welcome to participate but are not eligible to win prizes.

  • There is no purchase necessary to enter.

3. How to Enter

  • Participants must use the official colouring page provided by the YMCA.

  • Colouring pages can be picked up at Sudbury YMCA, 140 Durham Street, Sudbury, ON.

  • To enter, participants must:

    1. Complete the provided colouring page.

    2. Return the finished artwork to the Sudbury YMCA by November 18, 2025.

    3. Ensure a parent or guardian submits the consent ballot to confirm eligibility.

  • Only one (1) entry per participant is permitted.

4. Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the prize draw, entries must:

  • Include a completed parental or guardian consent ballot.

  • Use the official contest colouring page.

  • Be fully coloured and completed.

  • Be submitted by the contest deadline.

  • Be able to attend the Santa Claus Parade on parade day as part of the prize.

Incomplete, late, or entries without a consent ballot will not be eligible.

5. Winner Selection

  • All eligible entries received by the deadline will be entered into a random draw.

  • The draw will take place following the close of the Contest Period.

  • The selected entrant will be notified using the contact information provided on the parental consent ballot.

  • If the selected entrant does not meet all eligibility criteria or cannot be reached within one (1) business day, another entrant may be randomly selected.

6. Prize

  • The winner will receive the opportunity to sit on the children’s panel for the Santa Claus Parade.

  • The prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash.

  • Details about parade participation will be provided to the winner’s parent or guardian.

7. Parental Consent and Privacy

  • Parents or guardians must provide written consent via the ballot for their child to participate.

  • By entering the Contest, parents or guardians consent to the collection and use of their child’s first name, age, and artwork for the purposes of contest administration and winner announcement.

  • Personal information will be handled in accordance with the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws.

  • The child’s photo and/or artwork may be used in YMCA and Downtown Sudbury promotional materials with parental consent.

8. General Conditions

  • The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.

  • The Organizer is not responsible for lost, late, or damaged entries.

  • By participating, entrants and their parents/guardians agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and all decisions of the Organizer, which are final and binding.

  • The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest if necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.

9. Compliance with Laws

This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations in Canada and is void where prohibited.
