Fill The Bus

What is Fill the Bus?
Fill the Bus is a YMCA Strong Kids initiative that raises awareness around the YMCA’s financial assistance program and sending children to YMCA Camp. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000, enough to send 80 local kids to camp!

How Much Is It to Put A Kid On The Bus?
A donation of $250 will add a child to the bus. Every dollar raised will help local kids through the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign!

How Can You Participate?
We encourage everyone to take part in this initiative! Here are some ways to get involved:

  • Engage your place of work and promote Fill the Bus on your social media
  • Local businesses can sponsor the event by pledging to send kids to camp through staff or one-time donation
  • Local schools can fundraise and engage staff, students and families with hat days or pajama days
  • Donate or run an outside third party special event to help raise funds in support of Fill the Bus

YMCA Strong Kids Breakfast

The health and wellbeing of our members, clients, participants, families and community partners is of utmost importance to us at the YMCA. In light of the recent events related to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have made the decision to postpone the YMCA Strong Kids Breakfast in Sudbury to a later date. Please stay tuned for more information.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact your usual YMCA point of contact or visit our website for regular updates. Thank you for your understanding.

Tim Hortons YMCA Golf Classic

We look forward to having you join us for the 28th Annual Tim Hortons YMCA Golf Classic at Osprey Links Golf Course!
Golfers of all levels are invited to participate. Tee times begin at 10:00am and are staggered 10 minutes apart thereafter. Golfers will be contacted in advance with their specific tee off time. All proceeds from the Golf Classic benefit the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign and the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, directly impacting children and families in North Bay and area and opening up doors to health, fitness, aquatics and camping programs for those who might otherwise be unable to afford them. We appreciate your support, not only for the game of golf but for the two charities involved.

The tournament will look a little different this year as your safety and well-being is our top priority. To ensure that everyone is safe, we will be asking golfers to maintain physical distancing and arriving no more than 30 minutes before your tee time.

We have also decided to change the format of this years tournament to a scramble. This new format will be perfect for new players and experienced players alike to have fun and enjoy the day!

Tee off times will be staggered every 10 minute beginning at 10:00am. We will confirm your tee time with you after your registration and payment is received. Please do not show up any earlier than 30 minutes before your tee time.

There will be a BBQ lunch served on the course and a steak dinner served in the parking lot after you’re done playing. We ask that you please leave after you are finished eating dinner to maintain enough space between golfers.

Upon arrival to the course, please follow the arrows to the sign in table and remain in your vehicle as you are signed in.

Registrations can be done online, dropped off or mailed in the enclosed envelope to 186 Chippewa Street West, North Bay ON. Please make cheques payable to Tim Hortons YMCA Golf Classic.
