Building a Stronger Tomorrow: Welcoming Three New YMCA Board Members

We are proud to welcome Brianna Brohm, Marc Demers, and Jeff Hobbs to the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario — three leaders whose professional expertise and shared commitment to community wellbeing will help guide the Y’s continued impact across our region.

Brianna Brohm – Customer Care Representative, Workplace Safety North,
Member, National Young Leaders Advisory Committee (NYLAC), YMCA Canada
Brianna brings valuable experience in workplace mental health, non-profit governance, and legal insight, alongside a strong personal connection to the YMCA. With a background in youth leadership, grant development, and trauma-informed practice, she is deeply committed to strengthening sustainable, inclusive operations that allow communities — and people — to thrive.

Marc Demers – Vice President, Corporate / Chief Financial Officer, Timmins & District Hospital
Marc offers extensive expertise in healthcare leadership, financial stewardship, and capital planning, with a deep understanding of the diverse needs across Northeastern Ontario. His work in strategic planning, government relations, and major infrastructure projects aligns seamlessly with the YMCA’s focus on health, wellness, and prevention.

Jeff Hobbs – Insurance Advisor & Investment Representative, Life Long Planning Group
Jeff brings a strong foundation in financial literacy, business development, and community engagement, paired with a collaborative and solutions-focused mindset. A passionate advocate for the YMCA’s role in building strong communities, Jeff is committed to helping the organization navigate future opportunities with creativity, clarity, and purpose.

Each of these leaders brings a unique perspective — yet all share a common belief in the YMCA’s ability to create meaningful, lasting change. We are honoured to welcome Brianna, Marc, and Jeff to our Board of Directors as we continue building a healthier, more connected Northeastern Ontario.
