Day Camp Leadership Programs
REGISTRATION FOR 2026 DAY CAMPS OPENS MARCH 28th at 10AM
Don’t miss out on an incredible summer with YMCA Northeastern Ontario Day Camps!
2026 Session Information is NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE.
Leadership participants develop tightly knit groups and a sense of fellowship that is rarely found today. If adventure, challenge and learning are important to you, then our leadership programs are the place for you!
Our leadership progression is designed to help young people develop greater self confidence, an ability to work in group settings, a wide variety of outdoor skills, and an appreciation for the needs of younger campers.
The YMCA offers a tiered Day Camp Leadership Program (DCL) for youth who are 10-15* years. The DCL program provides campers with the unique opportunity to customize their experience and participate in the planning process of their own camp experience. All participants will be challenged to grow their communication, problem solving, and leadership skills by working through interactive workshops and team building activities.
